Champagne Bottle with Cascading Balloon Bubbles [Image credit: www.inflate2create.ltd.uk]
I am using an empty champagne bottle for a centerpiece for a fundraiser. I have seen pictures of "bubbles" flowing out of the bottle looking like the champagne has fizzed out of bottle. Where can I find something like this?
Answer
Hi Vicki,
Most champagne bottle balloon decorations are large sculptures, with a 6 ft tall inflatable bottle and a mix of 11 inch and 5 inch clear latex balloons for the cascading bubbles.
But if I understand you correctly, you want to use real champagne bottles and attach a string of small balloon bubbles to them, right? Similar to the designs in the two photos that I found.
I've seen two ways to do this. One would be to create a "string of pearls" by twisting a 260q balloon.
The other option would be to use 5 inch clear latex balloons, blow them up to only 2 or 3 inches, and tie them in clusters to a fishing line.
If you go for option one, here is a video that shows how to do these "pearl twists."
